Cornwall Hospice Care provides 24 hour care, 7 days a week, with no break over the festive period. We are proud to be supporting the charity over Christmas and New Year with their efforts and care.
What will you be doing over Christmas and New Year? Spending time with your family, enjoying a Christmas meal with all the trimmings or maybe out for a few merry drinks with friends. Our friends at Cornwall Hospice Care will be working throughout the festive period to provide 24 hour care, 7 days a week, to terminally ill people.
Sadly, for many people at Cornwall Hospice Care this Christmas may be their last. The nurse’s at the charity’s 2 hospice’s work tirelessly to ensure that everyone makes lasting memories and that their time is spent around the people they love. The dedicated nurses are aware that they’ve got one chance to get it right and are committed to doing all they can to support people at the end of their life.
For those working at Mount Edgcumbe Hospice and St Julia’s Hospice their work over the coming weeks will involve admitting patients, supporting distressed families whilst still continuing with their everyday work. The daily tasks of a nurse at one of the 2 hospice’s can include helping maintain patients pain relief, serving meals, logging observations and answering the charities 24 hour helpline. All this alongside copious other tasks. The charities 24 hour call line is on hand to support healthcare professionals caring for terminally ill people. Providing a helping hand at the end of the phone. Whilst all this happens the dedicated team at Cornwall Hospice Care will continue to fill the corridors, wards and rooms with positivity and love.
Ann’s Cottage are proud to support Cornwall Hospice Care in the efforts and care they provide to terminally ill people. Over the festive period we have sponsored 2 full nights care at Mount Edgcumbe Hospice covering Christmas Eve and New Year’s Day.
