We are incredibly proud to announce this year we will once again be sponsoring both serving Cornwall Air Ambulance helicopters and their running costs for a third year.

Cornwall Air Ambulance first took to the skies in 1987, since then they have completed 28,467 missions, saving countless lives across Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly.

Ann’s Cottage have supported the Cornwall Air Ambulance for 15 consecutive years. The charity is very close to Owner and Managing Director Rob Harris’ heart after this incredible service saved the life of his daughter Sophie.

“Supporting the Cornwall Air Ambulance has been an absolute pleasure over the years; it’s a charity that really makes an incredible difference saving lives. After my daughter Sophie suffered life threatening injuries in a road traffic accident in 2004 it was the quick response and medical care given to Sophie by the emergency services, including the Cornwall Air Ambulance that saved her life! We are honoured to have the opportunity to sponsor the helicopters for the third year.”

With an average on scene arrival time of 12 minutes in mainland Cornwall, Cornwall Air Ambulance provides pre-hospital critical care that can be the difference between the patient and life threatening injuries. However, this lifesaving service is completely reliant on the generosity of the public, as well as sponsorship from organisations such as Ann’s Cottage.

(Quote Paula Martin, Chief Executive at Cornwall Air Ambulance)

“As a charity we rely on the support of the people and businesses of Cornwall to keep the air ambulance flying, so we are incredibly grateful to Ann’s Cottage for its generosity in sponsoring the air ambulance helicopters.

Ann’s Cottage is a classic Cornish brand which has supported Cornwall Air Ambulance for many years. We’re pleased to display the company’s logo on the MD902 helicopters to show the people of Cornwall that Ann’s Cottage is helping to save lives.”

Ann’s Cottage are also thrilled to be involved with Cornwall Air Ambulance’s Heli Appeal with their mission to raise £2.5 million, which will bring a next generation helicopter to Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly by 1st April 2020. The new helicopter will be medically advanced, faster, better equipped and ultimately will help to save more lives for the next 20 years.

Here in Cornwall we are incredibly lucky to have the Cornwall Air Ambulance service, their rapid response times and fantastic work save countless lives every year. Ann’s Cottage is truly honoured to be sponsoring both serving helicopters, as well as helping them to raise money towards a brighter and safer future.
