The Rainbow Run is a 5km fun run with a slight twist where you can walk, jog or run the route. There are no prizes for being the first to cross the finish line – instead, the emphasis is on taking part and raising funds for an incredible charity. Oh, and you get showered with bright powder paint explosions as you go!

At their 3 hospices in the South West, Little Bridge House in Barnstaple, Charlton Farm in Bristol and Little Harbour in St Austell who provide a loving and caring place for every member of the family from the point of their child’s diagnosis, often for many years throughout their journey to bereavement and beyond.

Bernadette Chambers, Corporate Partnerships Fundraiser for CHSW said;

“We are so grateful for the support from Ann’s Cottage as our gold sponsor once again for the Rainbow Run. Having such a well-known Cornish retailer showing their support not only for the charity but for one of our biggest fundraising events is fantastic. This means that more money raised by everyone taking part in the event can go straight towards providing care and support to the children we look after at Little Harbour rather then being taken up on event costs so this sponsorship really does make a difference.”

2019’s Rainbow Run is expected to be the biggest one yet with 2,000 spaces available, it is sure to be a day to remember and what better way to spend a Sunday afternoon than raising money and awareness for such a fantastic cause.

There will be a large events village consisting of caterers and other local businesses alongside Ann’s Cottage, all showing their support with competitions throughout the day to get the whole family involved.

Rob Harris Managing Director and Owner of Ann’s Cottage, said;

“It is incredible what all the staff do at Children’s Hospice South West, offering expert care and support for the children and their families. I have been lucky enough to visit Little Harbour Children’s Hospice at St Austell – it was an extremely touching experience.

This is such a great cause and the Ann’s Cottage team really want to help in any way we can to raise awareness and as much money as possible for this very special charity.”
